The BBC puts out limited metadata for station which do not have
playlists. The original plugin used RadioVis but that was canned by
BBC so now pluigin gets "live" data from radioplayer API.

Station IDs are
London 300
R1 340
R2 342
R3 343
R4fm 344
R4lw 357

Try the following URL in a browser for R1 OnAir data - replies is in
JSON format but look for type "PI" - Program Information and "PE_E"
which is detailed current track info ("SI" is station information).

Code:
--------------------

http://np.radioplayer.co.uk/qp/v3/onair?rpIds=340&nameSize=200&artistNameSize=200&descriptionSize=200

Tunein adds ownmetadat which can be rubbish sometimes.

Why bother with HLS - same bit rate are available from DASH.

Song name does show in browser for DASH format. If it doesn't then maybe
setting still not right or you may have "skip back" active
