I've followed the chromecast and upnp bridge threads since the early testing days.
I now have eight devices in my home which are identified by these two plugins, five of which I actively use in my listening. Since my SB3 days in 2005 my home network has evolved to being NAS Music Store/PiCore Server and Player and now no SlimDevices/Logitech Hardware. Without these plugins my listening environment would be much more utilitarian and much less versatile. 25357 I've carried out a cursory test of these two new plugins on the five devices I use on a day to day basis with great results. My listening is confined to listening to my exclusively FLAC 16/41 VBR library for music and bpa's brilliant BBC iPlayer plugin for live BBC 320k DASH Radio, with very occasional forays into BBC Listen Again. My listening isn't that sophisticated and I haven't tested gapless but here's a summary of my cursory testing with these caveats: 25358 The only issue I encountered was streaming BBC Radio DASH to the Revo SuperConnect. I will try to see if this is a settings issue, but as the Revo now natively plays these DASH streams it isn't an issue for me. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: Results.JPG | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=25358| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ *Music Store & VPN Server: *Synology DS215J NAS* Home Server/Player:* LMS 7.9.2 on Pi 3B piCorePlayer v3.50 Server/IQAudio Digi+ *Homeplug LAN Players: *Squeezelite on Windows 10 PC *UPNP Wifi Players:* Samsung Soundbar, Chromecast Audio/Video, Revo Super-Connect Radio, GGMM-E5 portable *VPN Mobile & Car Player:* SqueezeControl/SqueezePlayer on Android Phone ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ian_heys's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2629 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
