I'm a recent convert to MusicIP Mixer (MM); and I've also just been trying Fishbone, which I like a lot. There is a particular curiosity, though, about how playlists work with these together.
For SS rescans to work properly with MM, and not duplicate albums in the SS library, you have to have no entry in the SS 'Music Folder' or 'Playlist Folder' settings (only 'Use MusicMagic' should be set). Despite having no 'Playlist Folder' specified, the Default skin will still let you 'Save' the 'Now playing' tracks as a playlist in the classic way; and the list title appears under Playlists. (The actual m3u file is saved to the C:\ drive on my WinXP system.) But Fishbone does not have the 'Save' option at the top of the 'Now playing' screen unless you specify a Playlist Folder in server settings (without this set, only Download and Clear appear at the top of the tracks list in the right hand screen). Unfortunately, as I mentioned, setting Playlist Folder in SS when you're using MM produces duplicate album entries when SS rescans. Is there some other way that Fishbone can save playlists with no Playlist Folder path in the server settings? If not, looks like I'll have to go back to the trusty old Default Skin.
