Stan >>> The best fix I've found when MM and SS get in a conflict is to
stop SS, delete its Cache, and restart it (need to kill the mysql
process before deleting the Cache - with Task Manager in WinXP pro).
Restarting SS will cause a rebuild of the Cache and a full rescan based
on what's now in the MM cache. Fortunately, I manage not to need to do
this now (see next para).

I've found that if I add lots of music, SS starts to rescan before MM
has analysed the tracks, and that causes problems, as you say. In an
effort to avoid this, I set the MM Reload Interval to 600s (10 mins) as
per Siduhe's posts; but that was just not long enough. When adding
lots of tracks I now set it to 0, which prevents SS rescanning
automatically, and I then do a manual 'Clear and Rescan' when MM has
analysed all the tracks.

But the differences between MM and SS re library stats seem not so
easily reconciled. I suspect MM and SS use different principles for
what to count. I'm resigned to the differences being simply a mystery.
I ignore them, and just enjoy the endlessly delightful mixes!
