I'm currently using it to create moods, that play randomly. As in Morning Mood. I think it is better than a static playlist because:
a)I don't have to manually add songs (I like random playlists) b)I can skip a genre, but not skip an artists w/in that genre (as in Skip Genre->Classic Rock, Not Skip->Artist Crosby Nash) So I create a mood by skipping many genres, and adding back in some artists from skipped genres. Then I go to the Dynamic Playlist plugin and choose random song mix. It works great! I think I'm using this correctly, but maybe there is a better plugin for doing this sort of thing. I tried MusicIP, but it dragged my system down to a crawl, and I could never for the life of me get it to send a playlist to SS, even though it shows up as checked in the Plugins list, it does not give me the checkbox on SS Basic Settings and SS does not show up in the MusicIP program as a send to option. Since it was so frustrating, I'm waiting until MusicIP decides to make it easier or I'm happy to never ever look at that again (since we have this perfect plugin called CustomSkip). So I like CustomSkip because it just works, but again, maybe there is a better way to create moods. -- caldvd ------------------------------------------------------------------------ caldvd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7302 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31381 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
