Did a bit of research out of interest and I see that SynoCommunity already distributes a package for Home Assistant here: HTTPS://SYNOCOMMUNITY.COM/PACKAGE/HOMEASSISTANT Perhaps give this a try? It's version 0.82 but that's pretty close to current. Likely you can update from there as time goes by. If this package works and you get the duckdns and certificate working properly, I would suggest you install the HA configurator add-on and use that to create your shell directory under /config (or wherever your *.yaml files are) and you can use this to create and edit .yaml and .sh files as well. If I had one of these gadgets, I would make it work. :) Good luck.
