It's abit difficult to say. The alac specs definitively allows that, but
the exchange protocol between the controller and the speaker fixes the
packet size to 352. So in fact, what HTC connects does is telling: I'll
send you packets of 352 frames every time, but in fact, in each alac
encoded packet, I set the size to whatever I want (below 352). This is
the first application ever I saw doing that. So yes, not really a bug
but definitvely vicious
