Thanks for the revised version 1.8.3.2 which, as others have also reported, is now working correctly. Can play all local flac files (44.1 88.2, 96 in 16 and 24 bit) BBC iPlayer live and listen again, Radio Paradise (320 aac and 44.1 flac), Qobuz, and finally Spotty. Log is attached FYI.
