slartibartfast is correct, lyrics have been there for ever, added to a LYRICS tag for FLAC and added to UNSYNCEDLYRICS tag for MP3.
...and seeing that screenshot I must assune I did implement this display. There's lyrics all over the place in the code. That should be relatively easy to integrate. How could I have missed this?
