SLX will generally monitor its http and telnet connection to the server by checking every 10 seconds that the server is still there. When the server is turned off, SLX will attempt to reconnect every 10 seconds for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, it gives up. But the underlying player will eventually reconnect to server when the server does come back. If your server is off for more than 5 minutes, you should be able to reconnect by opening the SLX settings page and pressing the apply button. I guess the 5 minutes was arbitrary on my part. I figured that would be sufficient for server restart/reboot scenarios. I'm guessing your server was unavailable for more than 5 minutes? I suppose I could have it retry for some longer amount of time or even forever.
