Sounds ugly, but I haven't ever seen anything like that and I wasn't
just able to replicate it.  If you don't mind, could you tell me more
details: what's the server running on (may make no difference), what's
the OS you're running slimfx on, and what is the exact sequence of
operations you use to get it to crash? It's not inconceivable that
there some path in the code that gets into a loop that consumes memory
or runs the CPU. (If you know how to check these things, that would be
interesting info, too).
