That's what made me think. SWMBO was away for a week and I had the Living Room to myself - hence no headphone requirement and no iPeng. Michael's original announcement of the changes in 2.8.x got rather swamped by discussion about Debian variants and while I had noted the Ogg Vorbis bit it I hadn't appreciated the fix. I am slightly surprised that no one else has noticed that iPeng playback was broken without the Settings / File Types change.
