I'd corrected the spelling error soon after posting and trying to replicate it, can't. I guess it's either a cache or rescanning issue. I had used 'Look for new and changed media files' rather than a complete scan and do sometimes find that the this rescan is incomplete. (or maybe that's just the cache too).
