It is odd given that just 2 years ago when DASH was still BBC-beta
testing, they shutdown Flash/AAC but feedback meant they had to provide
shoutcast MP3 as a stopgap which were to be phased out in 12 months.
Instead of being shutdown, the MP3 streams have been upgraded for UK
listeners - only R3 gets AAC.  BBC now follows - not leads in
broadcasting technology. DASH does not seem to be used widely - unless
there is an economic advantage, the BBC may be tempted to shut DASH
streams down and just stick with MP3 for all.
