It is odd given that just 2 years ago when DASH was still BBC-beta testing, they shutdown Flash/AAC but feedback meant they had to provide shoutcast MP3 as a stopgap which were to be phased out in 12 months. Instead of being shutdown, the MP3 streams have been upgraded for UK listeners - only R3 gets AAC. BBC now follows - not leads in broadcasting technology. DASH does not seem to be used widely - unless there is an economic advantage, the BBC may be tempted to shut DASH streams down and just stick with MP3 for all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
