Can't abandon HLS because Apple won't implement DASH. However the main point of HSL and DASH was the ability to dynamically vary bitrate according on network load - and the BBC doesn't do that. BBC also don't use the metadata features of the formats or segments - all BBC specials - implemented in a way no one else uses. The only feature that is implemented is a "skip back" but HLS can do that as well - so why bother with DASH. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
