Hi, I just started using RP 2.4.2, with LMS 7.9.1 on an Allo Sparky with
Max2Play. I synchronize Squeezelite with a Squeezebox Classic. Until the
update performance was pretty good, with some occasional dropout. But
the update brought immediate problems:
Without synchronization, Squeezelite will play Main Mix AAC 320kbps and
128kbps but neither FLAC Interactive nor FLAC Regular Stream. With the
FLAC streams the time playing indicator counts up and song info
displays in a browser, but theres no sound, and it quits at the end of
a song. With the AAC streams everything seems normal.
By itself, the Squeezebox Classic will not play either of the available
FLAC options: FLAC Interactive, FLAC Regular Stream, but it will play
MP3 192kbps. With FLAC, the appropriate messages display ("Radio
Paradise," "FLAC Interactive" ...) and the time play counts up, but no
music actually plays.
Synchronized, the options are FLAC Interactive, FLAC Regular Stream, and
MPS3 192kpbs. (I dont know why AAC is unavailable.) FLAC behavior is as
above, while with MP3 the time playing counts for about 25 seconds and
then gives up. No sound with any of these options.
I'm hoping there may be an update soon. :)
