I've just moved my Slimserver install from my old Linux box (where it
works) to a new FreeBSD (6.2) box, where everything but AlienBBC
works.

The problem is that it sits forever at "Connecting...", which I'm
pretty sure means I've done something dumb. A manual run of the full
command line that's kicked off when calling mplayer suggests that it's
not completely broken, as mplayer runs and seems to be connecting:

MPlayer 1.0rc1-3.4.6 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team
CPU: VIA Esther processor 1200MHz (Family: 6, Model: 10, Stepping: 9)
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 1 SSE2: 1
Compiled with runtime CPU detection.
Creating config file: /usr/local/slimserver/.mplayer/config

If I change the output to /dev/null it looks like it's working, but
nothing makes it through the speakers (either SoftSqueeze 3.3 or the
Squeezebox 3).

So, where should I start debugging this to try to work out what I've
not done correctly?

TIA
