v2.8.5 is out there. This version hopefully will fix Spotty locking up LMS when trying to get an access token.
We've seen Spotty completely blocking LMS for up to several minutes (for those who decided to wait that long before killing LMS...). I've previously tried to mitigate this issue. But it wasn't working on Windows at all, and probably on none of the other platforms either... So I totally rewrote this with a less elegant, but hopefully working solution :-).
