The plugin assumes you have at least one player connected (no need to access Sirius if you don't have something to play the audio to). You can start up an instance of SoftSqueeze if you don't have a physical SqueezeBox.
Also, make sure when you access SlimServer for the first time after restarting it that you start off with localhost:9000.
