The thing about ALL skills is that they are given 8 seconds to return a response to Amazon before the session terminates. I mentioned earlier that a pi-zero would likely give problems with heavier commands. The free tier commands don't relay much JSON back and forth and so might work fine. But the subscribed commands often retrieve several batches of JSON in order to work, so a slow LMS will start to be noticeable. For example, if you ask for Christmas songs, your server is queried for the genres Christmas, X-MAS and XMAS just to be sure of a match. I have one pi-zero in use in my smart home and it's a travesty speed-wise so I have some experience with it. Without the hard 8-sec timeout imposed by Amazon, you might get away with it and just notice laggy response. With that hard-delay, I'm convinced you'll keep hitting a wall. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
