It's a combination of several JSON roundtrips from the cloud to your house to your LMS and back. If e.g. you have slow internet upload speed, even a fast LMS might not help. But be warned that a pi2 is not going to be much better than a zero, although at least you have 1GB of RAM then. If you can just swap the card from the zero into the pi2 then sure give it a try. For a permanent solution, I'd say do yourself a favour and get a pi4 with 2GB RAM for fifty quid. Unless you have rural internet speeds, that is. The touchscreen player controls work on Echos with screens (if you touch the screen briefly they appear) so that's the screen-reference you saw. It's trivial for the skill to display the metadata but from testing I found it quickly becomes wrong because of the buffer in the Echo - LMS thinks playback is way ahead of where it actually is because the Echo gobbles data to buffer it. At song-transition it all goes awry. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
