It is utterly failing. It is the latest Spotty on Logitech Media Server
Version: 7.9.2 - 1576472621 @ Mon Dec 16 06:13:56 CET 2019 (I updated it
today in the hope it would solve things), which runs on Open Media
Vault.
In the Spotify program (on Windows 10) I sometimes see my players (one
Touch, three radios); but more often they are not available. And if they
are, no connection can be made.
More interestingly:
- three accounts (of 4) have disappeared in server settings; I
re-entered one and it's still there
- the 'Don't announce Squeezebox players running in Spotify Connect mode
in your network' option is selected; deselecting is possible, but after
a while it is selected again
I use a Touch which otherwise functions perfectly. It does play my local
music collection (on Open Media Server) and my radio stations under
'Favorites'.
What I have tried so far:
- update LMS
- remove/reinstall Spotty
- reboot my server several times
The funny thin is that this suddenly happened. I did, however, notice a
slightly less stable Spotty in the last few weeks. Play would stop
randomly and swiftly skip through the entire playlist. In that case, I
started music from my own collection and have Spotty take over again
after the album was finished (Don't Stop The Music). Earlier versions of
Spotty, especially the 2.8 series, were rock solid.
Maybe my server logs speak for themselves. There is certainly something
wrong there:
