I've seen cases where the credentials file got corrupted. Don't know why that would happen, but it does :-(

Understood. Alas there can be conflicts on a system where spotty fails _local_ announcements due to other applications using mDNS on the same machine. This doesn't mean you wouldn't see them in your Spotify app any more. You just would only see them in the account that is configured for the player.
