This gets stranger.
Tested using Android 7 and Android 10 devices, LMS 8.0, Material 1.4 ... it works perfectly in full-screen mode: Kiwi, Vivaldi, even Opera with the correct setup! I get the correct icon when creating new shortcuts, and the result works in full-screen.
