I'm sorry to report that the issue is not solved... Although it seemed that disabling mad solves the issues and I was running for hours without issues two days ago I'm having the same problems yet again since yesterday. It happens with squeezelite 1.5, 1.9.6-1205 and obviosly with squeezelite-x as well. I'm running out of ideas and don't know what I'm doing wrong. What I noticed though wile running squeezelite with Decode=Sdebug is: The streamingbuffer will fluctuate pretty normally, at some point one can see the buffer decrasing and one can pretty much see the stop coming.
