Both artists are also track artists on Clapton's album "Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013" and it seems that MAI ignores the contributor role when it tries to find the artist folder.
Great catch! MAI indeed does not respect the contributor role but just picks the first track/album for which he is a contributor.
I'd recommend you define an artwork folder and put an image in there for Jeff Beck etc. Those files have highest priority. At least until I've fixed the behaviour.
And enable pre-caching. It's about pre-caching resized artwork for quicker rendering when you browse artists.
