Well that would certainly be one way of doing it. However I must admit
that I originally was going for a simpler solution.

I guess that what Michael suggests would be the ideal way to go. Use an
existing plugin eg. SuperDateTime to present data on the SBs and then
concentrate my efforts on getting the measured values into a file
wherefrom SuperDateTime can extract them.

That way my own data could be presented together with forecasts from
wunderground.com.
