Using the "-o plughw:CARD=Set,DEV=0" option worked, versus what I had been using "-o front:CARD=Set,DEV=0" (which has worked fine for years, btw). I noticed that "plughw:CARD" didn't show up as an option in the "squeezelite -l" output so you must know something (a lot actually) that I don't. Obviously I need to learn something about ALSA and digital audio.
