I thought you had developed the BBC iPlayer plugin for LMS,  and I have
not updated it since the time I first used it. So I thought all the code
for transcoding was inside the plugin, and that it didn't call up on the
BBC's digital infrastructure.

That's a very good question. ERTU added M3U8 streams last October, but
they did not shut off the rtmp streams. Both streams are frequently
down, ie. offline, but the M3U8 streams are down more frequently, so
good to get the rtmp as backup.

The egradio.eg domain has been down since late Feb, early March, but the
streams still run.   In fact, this is what clued me in that the
parameters referring to flash, and to the page the links were embedded
in were superfluous.
