Leftchannel, those RP forum items you linked to certainly imply that increased use of RP might be a factor here.
For me (Virgin ISP in UK) things were a little better yesterday (Wed 13), with Regular stream better at what I'd describe as pretty stable, but Interactive still very wobbly.
