No question, "Group Players" is the best way to synchronize the same
players frequently. My system is usually playing through the "All
player" synch group, or just one player, "Living Room," is playing.

But there are times when I want an ad hoc combination that's unlikely to
be repeated soon, such as Living Room and Dining Room, or Office,
Kitchen and Porch. In cases like that, Material's sync capability has
been perfect. Unlike the sync options in the default web interface, the
logic is perfectly clear. It's obvious which player is the master and
which players are the clients.

That logic is not so clear in the drag and drop interface, but I'm sure
I could learn the new logic and follow it. But I probably won't bother,
since the old way of doing things still seems to be available. From the
drop-down list of players, go to Manage Players, then select the context
menu for any (non-group) player. The "Synchronize" option seems to work
the same as before. It's just in a new location. But I haven't yet
tested it thoroughly, so it may turn out that there are differences.
