Not sure if this would be possible. Material is loaded into a webview, and this is 'paused' when the app loses focus. I'd imagine some sort of service would be needed to receive the 'intent', but the ap has no background service. Again, its only meant to be simple. Also, this is a use case I have never personally had a need for. So, for now at least, its not something I'm going to look into.
