I also keep my rips on an ancient but perfectly usable QNAP but I stopped running LMS in it years ago. Instead I use another machine to run LMS but it reads the QNAP files via NFS. If I were you Id get a Raspberry Pi 4 put picoreplayer on it, then install LMS and point it at your QNAP. Really easy to do. Then you wont have to have your laptop on to play Tidal in hi-res
