Try http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml?edition=int The Touch does not support HTTPS. So when you're looking for RSS feeds or any url for that matter try them in a browser with HTTP and make sure they return what you're expecting without redirecting to a HTTPS url.
