I couldn't find any errors in the scanner.log. I recovered most of them
from a backup. I suspect it can't find the images online anymore, some
are probably downloaded a very long time ago. Another question: does the
option "Store placeholder file ("artist.missing") if artist pictures are
to be downloaded, but cannot be found." slow down the scanning proces?
Writing a file will always slow down compared to not writing it. But on
most systems, and if you're pretty much complete, it shouldn't hurt
much. And once that file is written, subsequent scans won't have to
re-do it anyway.
