I'd like to try this plugin. A few questions first: 1. Will it cause my library rescans/rebuilds to take longer?
If you decide to let it search for artist and missing album artwork, then sure, it will. But it's certainly worth the wait :-)
2. If I later decide to uninstall the plugin, is it easy to remove any residuals (e.g. cache, settings, prefs) it might leave behind?
There's no automatic cleanup. But if you decide to define a folder where to store those images (which is highly recommended), then you at least know what to delete. And the image proxy will expire cached data after a few weeks.
