Are you suggesting that there *is* such a job in pCP, or that I could
solve the problem by adding a cron job? (again, I'm currently on 5.0,
and can accept that things are improved in more recent builds. Just
trying to clarify...) My system was in this state for many days, and
it's internet connection was fine after perhaps the first few minutes
after the power outage reboot. So if there is supposed to be a cron job
running to help fix this, it's not in evidence. sudo crontab -l shows no
configured jobs. Again, I don't need a better solution for my situation.
If the extremely weird problem recurs, hopefully something will jog my
memory enough to get to this resolution faster :-)
