Going back to the missing album artwork pre-cached files, I enabled Debug logging and saw what it did with a particular album that has no embedded artwork or image files in the album folder.

Also I couldn't see any recently added image files in my music library nor in any of the configured album artwork folders. The player found on-demand images from Last.fm & Discogs just fine. There is an odd disparity between scan completion times for album and artist lookups i.e. why do album covers complete in such short time compared to artist? I'd have thought that the artists might complete faster since those images have been stored (in the artist artwork folder).
