I'm not sure I understand what you wrote.  I tried multiple files on
Qobuz from different CD's, and every one of them was a 96/24 that my DAC
said was a 44.1.   Are you saying maybe my DAC is just reporting
incorrectly what it's receiving?  As always, thanks for your continuing
help!

When you play a track, I tell Qobuz to give me information about this track. This includes information about the bitrate, sampling rate, as well as where to get the audio data from. I trust that information and show it in LMS. I don't verify whether the stream actually is using that sampling rate or not. So what you see in LMS might be wrong, if the stream indeed comes in another format. But it's what Qobuz says it is. Or your DAC might be wrong if the stream is what Qobuz says. Or something happens to the stream in between, eg. LMS does transcode because the player can't handle the format.
