Nothing substantial changed in this area in 0.4, but I'm glad to hear its working for you. Because this plugin relies on streaming downloads of the podcast files (nothing is locally cached), functions like progress information and resume depend on the web server that's delivering the podcast file (accurate content length, support for range requests). Things like connection timeout aggressiveness also come into play. Most podcast hosting providers seem provide everything required, but there may be some that don't. I don't have a sense of how common these features are across the larger podcast ecosystem, though all the podcasts I personally follow fully support these features.
