could it be that Material Skin retrieves the lyrics from the net despite them being locally stored in the mp3-tags as well? I was under the impression and checked when I could see that the lyrics were characteristically different.
Material does not fetch Lyrics. It relies on LMS and the Music and Artist Information plugin. But even that plugin would return lyrics stored in tags, rather than looking them up online.
