This is a very annoying problem Ive seen on a few speakers and Ive not been able to solve them. When they reconnect LMS will send them his desired level but some Airplay device ignore that first command. And its not just a matter of sending it twice, waiting or anything else. You will notice a trigger option in plugin settings that deals with the fact that some speakers refuse to accept any volume before that have sent their value. I think there are further discussion in other thread about the Zipp and that issue for which I dont have a solution.
