I'm tossing around with the idea of making a simple Insteon plugin for SlimServer. For those not familar with Insteon, please check out www.insteon.com and www.smarthome.com. Basically it's home automation stuff for lights and such that operates over your existing electrical wiring. It works considerably better than similar/older products using the x10 protocol. It's really quite cool and quite reasonably priced.
In my current set up I have a switch on the wall that has 8 buttons that coordinate to different lighting scenes (movie, party, breakfast, etc). There are times I'm already on the couch and it'd be nice to jump into movie mode via the Slim remote instead of getting up. Any interest in this? I "think" I found a relatively easy way for SlimServer to talk to a USB controller on a Windows machine via HTTP calls but would like to gauge interest so I know how polished to make it. -Greg -- GoCubs ------------------------------------------------------------------------ GoCubs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=312 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35370 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
