I set up slimserver on my server box, got it running, and I can get a copy of softsqueeze to run if I browse thru to the applet link on my server, under the softsqueeze page of the slimserver "web" page.
I would like to run the softsqueeze app directly on my laptop using sun java, without having to start it from the applet link on the server page. I can't work out what to edit on the local copy of the source to get it to find my server. The second issue is that when I just run it from the applet link, half the time it tells me it can't find my soundcard (K Ubuntu 6.06, latest sun java installed). I think this is the dumb KDE hogging the sound card problem. The third issue is when I try to run softsqueeze from the "java" app link, all it does is download softsqueeze.jnlp to my laptop. Any ideas there? -- gordwait ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gordwait's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11722 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35538 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
