I run a VortexBox which says it doesn't have any upgrade available yet my LMS is still on 7.8:
Spotty won't work on your machine, no matter the LMS version you're running.
If your system doesn't support any LMS version younger than half a decade, then it's time to replace it or the operating system running it. There are updates to Vortexbox which might bring it at least a bit more up to date.
