I, personally, do not suffer the issue that it seeks to solve. So I would not (today) benefit from its inclusion in the radio firmware. I think what should be possible is to devise an 'installer' Applet that would undertake the necessary installation actions. I haven't looked at the detail to know. And I don't know what "tinkering" options might need to be supported. This would complicate matters. The Applet approach would have the advantage of being available both to users of 'stock' firmware, and to users of the community firmware.
