This might work ... or at least be the basis of a solution - for the Denon at least.
Create a Group Player called "Denon Zone 2" (or whatever you want of course). Add the Denon Airplay player to it. In the Denon plugin ... configure "Denon Zone 2" to select Zone 2 on the Denon hardware on power on. Power off/on that Group Player and see if the Denon changes zone. If it does then queue music to it and it /might/ work. It would mean that you can only use Airplay to one Denon zone at a time but that might be a reasonable sacrifice for it being automated.
