I still need to clarify a few things. When I use the term virtual player, it's the player that represents the group which of course do not match any real SB in your system. 1. is the volume of each player set to 100% *before* the group is started? (i.e. play is done on the virtual player) Because if it is, then the volume set on a player before the group is "gathered" has no impact of the volume of this player *once* the group is assembled. 2. probably no, for the reasons set in 1. 3. here, what happens is that the memorized volume to each player (i.e. the volume when being part of the group) is being adjusted with the ratio applied to the virtual player. Now, this is just the memorized volume that is being changed, the current volume of the real player is unaffected because it is not part of the group at that time 4. probably as per 1. and 2. What I did to test 1. take 3 players, volume at 20, 50 and 70 2. put them in a group 3. play a track on the virtual 4. set the virtual at 0 to "align" all volumes 5. set the virtual at 20 6. check that all players are at 20 7. stop the virtual 8. check that players are back to 20, 50 and 70 9. change volume on the virtual to 30 (remember, it is stopped) 10. verify that players are still 20, 50, 70 11. play a track on the virtual 12. verify that all players are now at 30 (and not 20 anymore) 13. stop the virtual 14. verify that players are back to 20, 50 and 70 LMS 8.1.x on Odroid-C4 - *SqueezeAMP!*, 5xRadio, 5xBoom, 2xDuet, 1xTouch, 1xSB3.
