Yep. I can see that in the log file. I'm not sure why it happens with
your system (and with MarSOnEarth too) but not with mine. Maybe it's
something specific to running with a non-main zone. In any case, the
next code version will take a different approach, syncing the client
volume during "power on" to the last (and thus current) zone volume
setting. Once Quick Select support is added, the client will be synced
to the volume stored in the Quick Select definition.

This action seems to have more to do with how long you hold the phone
volume button down, at least on my phone.  A quick tap of the volume
button results in one incremental volume movement of +/-5 for me with
Squeezer. However, holding it down for any length of time at all results
in a rapid succession of volume requests that can overload the plugin. I
may make a request to the Squeezer developers to change this behavior
such that it only sends one request per key press regardless of how long
the key is held down, assuming that it is possible for them to detect
it. Regarding how your system was performing before the beta, there
should be no difference in the volume handling except for the muting at
power on which, as I said, will be taken care of in the next code drop.
