Seriously. 
Have you tried your placeholder idea? Presumably it works.
Qobuz tagging does seem to be one of the services weakest points and
even with non-classical stuff there are issues which I don't think are
resolvable. At album level you can favourite something by a particular
artist but when you play a track from it you can frequently find that
some other name is credited. I had one the other day can't remember by
who but the credit was to a guy who had designed the cover art!
